Win of the Week: Firefly for James Caan

It’s Friday so let’s welcome you to a new Brinkwire blog feature – win of the week.
First rule – PR agencies considered for “Win of the Week” don’t have to a Brinkwire client, using our news hub to encourage press release distribution to savvy news bloggers and social media adepts, but we’d like it if many of them are.
Second rule – Um, well, there’s not much else. We’ll simply keep an eye on what trade press announces on any given week and pick our favourite for Friday.
This week the award goes to Firefly for signing Dragon’s Den honcho James Caan.
Firefly have to help raise the entrepreneur’s profile (we think a screaming fit on TV might do that) and work with Hamilton Bradshaw, Caan’s private equity firm.
Caan recently invested in marketing and SEO agency Fresh Egg, becoming their chairman in the process.
So does this add any more fuel to the firy debate over which type of company is the best suited for social media? An SEO agency or a PR agency?
Not really, Fresh Egg offers a blogging service and their website hints of some social media options but Firefly’s brief is a rock solid and typical PR play.
