Journalista is born

Sarah MacKinlay is moving away from her role as editor of Total Politics. After 18 months of editing the neutral political magazine MacKinlay is moving into PR.

Journalista, as the new agency will be called, will specialise in providing PR for politicians and other people who get caught up in the world of politics (civil servants, doctors of spin and other helpful so-and-sos).

The timing seems to be good. Can you think of a time when politicians needed more help with their public relations than they do now?

Right now the Journalista site is under development. What would you like to see on it? We think that a blog as well as a video channel would be excellent ideas? Much of a politician’s strength is often in his verbal and visual presentation style and online videos would be a perfect for this.

Journalista may also have a challenge in Google. Ranking for their own name may be tricky as Journalista is also the name given to The Comic Journal’s blog. This might lead to some amusing mix-ups.
